THE OBJECTIVE OF THE CONFERENCE – to discuss the current problems of social work with
disadvantaged groups, ways of overcoming them, presenting the results of the latest research.
The international scientific conference will provide an opportunity to strengthen existing
cooperation and initiate new international collaboration between researchers and practitioners
working with disadvantaged groups, to develop new applied research, and to develop joint projects.

CONFERENCE TOPICS
The conference will discuss the role of social work practitioners and the challenges that arise in the
day-to-day practice of social work with disadvantaged groups. The event will focus on the
importance of parenting skills training for convicts in the context of resocialisation, the problems of
integration of refugees, which can only be solved by a competent social worker with multicultural
communication skills, and other problems faced by disadvantaged groups helped by social workers.
The conference will take place on 19–20 October 2023, in the Main Hall of the Faculty of Pedagogy,
Vilniaus Kolegija (Studentu st. 39A, LT-08106 Vilnius). The conference will be broadcast on YouTube.
