From April 13–15, the Comenius Association members’ meeting “Comenius Expert Days” took place at the Faculty of Education at VIKO.
The Comenius Association brings together European higher education institutions that train teachers. This year’s event theme—“Building Stronger Bridges: Empowering Education Through Partnership”—brought together a large delegation of experts from seven European countries: Austria, Belgium, the Netherlands, Spain, Norway, Germany, and the United Kingdom.
During three days of intensive work, participants not only discussed current issues in education but also familiarized themselves with the Lithuanian education system. The guests visited schools in Vilnius, where they had the opportunity to observe the educational process up close, interact with students and teachers, and see how partnership ideas are implemented in daily practice.
During the working sessions, experts addressed issues important to modern education, shared best practices from their countries, and jointly sought ways to strengthen ties between higher education institutions and educational institutions.
This meeting served as a valuable forum for the exchange of experiences and reaffirmed that internationalism and shared European values help strengthen education and meet the needs of future society.
