On August 26–29, the Marino Institute in Dublin hosted the international conference of the Association for Teacher Education (ATEE), which brought together researchers and practitioners from various countries. Vilniaus kolegija / Higher Education Institution was represented by Associate Professor Stasė Ustilaitė, who presented a paper entitled “Meaningful Moments in Teacher Educators’ Careers.”
The presentation, prepared in collaboration with co-authors from Denmark, Austria, Poland, and Hungary, was based on V. Frankl’s theory of values and examined what experiences give teacher educators the most meaning and satisfaction in their work. The study revealed that meaningful moments arise from creativity, relationships with students and colleagues, and a positive attitude toward professional challenges. Participation in the conference provided an opportunity to share experiences, establish international professional contacts, and contribute to the general discussion on the professional identity of teacher educators.
