On April 29, 2026, Vaiva Juškienė, Dean of the VIKO Faculty of Pedagogy, Rima Aleknavičiūtė-Stasiulė, Head of the Competence Development Center, lecturers Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vaidotas Valantiejus, Gabrielė Kizytė, and Aušra Simoniukštytė, who is the TASC project coordinator in Lithuania, participated in the presentation of the TASC project results, which took place in Bruges, Belgium. The Lithuanian delegation in Bruges was also joined by Liucija Jasiukevičienė, Head of the Teachers’ Division at the Department of Education of the Ministry of Education, Science and Sports, and Laura Bražionienė, Senior Specialist at the Ministry’s Department of Educational Programs.
The results of the TASC project were presented during the event. Following the plenary session, which was attended by the representatives of the European Commission and other guests, event participants had the option to join one or two workshops led by members of the TASC consortium. Several workshops were led by VIKO PDF lecturers Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vaidotas Valantiejus and Aušra Simoniukštytė.
The Teacher Academy for Sustainable Communication (TASC) is an Erasmus+ project in which twelve partners from seven countries have jointly developed an international, 20-credit training programme designed to foster teachers’ sustainable communication competencies. TASC aims to help European teachers acquire the communication skills necessary to become proactive and reflective educators capable of preventing discrimination, polarization, exclusion and violence in schools as well as in society.
