The TASC project has come to an end, but the results achieved during the project will continue to be actively utilized in teacher training and professional development activities.
In May 2026, the three-year “Teacher Academy Sustainable communication. Social Change through Sustainable Communication in Lifelong Learning in Schools and Society” (Action 101104036) (TASC)” project came to an end. TASC is an “Erasmus+” project in which twelve partners from seven countries developed a joint international module worth 20 academic credits, designed to foster sustainable communication competencies among current and future teachers. In addition, a sustainable communication Teacher Trainer Manual for teacher trainers and the Teacher Toolkit for teachers were developed.
The methodological tools developed by the project help foster communication and collaboration skills, strengthen an inclusive educational culture, identify and reduce manifestations of discrimination, bullying, polarization, and social exclusion in educational settings. These resources are geared toward the professional competencies of today’s teachers—reflective practices, a culture of dialogue, and the ability to create a safe and respectful learning environment.
Elements of the module developed during the TASC project are already being integrated into VIKO’s teacher training programs and the content of specialization modules; thus, the project’s results are becoming not a one-time product, but an ongoing part of the teacher training process.
In the near future, plans are in place to further expand the use of these results:
• to offer international students studying at the faculty the opportunity to choose modules focused on sustainable communication;
• to organize an international Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Program (BIP);
• to develop and submit for accreditation a 10-credit national professional development program for teachers.
The results of the TASC project contribute to strengthening modern teacher training, promoting intercultural dialogue, and developing an inclusive educational culture. The continued implementation of the developed materials in academic programmes, teacher professional development programmes, and international partnerships will ensure the sustainable impact of the project’s results and their dissemination within the Lithuanian and European educational communities.
